Several of our members participated in this year’s show and auction! This year’s class calves “Annie” and “Reese” were exhibited by Katie Smith and Jasmine Hopson, who did a fantastic job with them!

1st-year students Grant Brown and Addyson McPherson competed at the WV FFA Horse Evaluation Contest last Friday and Saturday 🐎 this was their first FFA contest and they did a great job!
On Sunday, members of the Nicholas Co. 4-H Ag club toured our greenhouse and got to meet our class animals. Our chapter President Jasmine Hopson, who is also a member of the Ag club, did a great job showing them around and explaining our daily operations!

- Lettuce
- Single potted flowers (zinnias and giant marigolds)
- Marigold pots
- Zinnia pots

Limited supply:
- Hanging petunia baskets (approximately 3 ready to go, most will be ready next week)
- Cherry tomatoes (more to ripen within the next 1-2 weeks)
- Cucumbers
- Sugar snap peas

We have been spending time educating the youth of Nicholas County the past few weeks!
First, we talked about chickens and chicken anatomy with Kindergarten at CRE 🐔,then we partnered with Fresh Start Market Co. for a "paint and plant" activity with local youth 🖌️🌱, and finally yesterday, GRE preschoolers came over and learned about starting plants and goat care! 🪴🐐

Our flowers have been coming along nicely 🌸🌺 we will be resuming greenhouse sales starting next week, so keep an eye out...

We have been busy here the past couple of weeks, so here is a recap of what we have been up to!

2nd-year students Gracey Bail and Katie Smith, along with 3rd-year student Jasmine Hopson, competed in the WV FFA Veterinary Science contest March 25-26th at WVU in Morgantown. They did a great job, learned a lot, and had fun doing it! 🩺🐈🐕

In class, we are currently caring for new chicks that we will be adding to our school flock once they are old enough 🐥 and our class calves "Annie" and "Reese" received their spring vaccines and de-wormer 🐄
