We welcomed students back this week and started work on new projects!!! 🎉🎊 At the end of last semester students in Natural Resources finished their build of Fly Fishing Rods, students in welding finished up their last skill welds, and Intro to Ag students finished their woodworking project and made wreaths. We are excited for semester and to see what we can get up to!!

Moffat County FFA has extra meat stick bundles that we are selling as a part of our annual fruit and meat fundraiser. Below are the flavors and quantities of bundles that we have available. These are first come first serve! Each bundle has 12 meat sticks and they are for sale at $18 a bundle! We want to post one more appreciation post for the people and groups that helped our chapter get to National Convention! Their support allowed us to take our state winning Ag Mechanics team to compete and 13 additional students.

First off, a huge thank you to Nathan Clark at Colorado State University for hosting a practice session in Fort Collins for the team and to Shawn Springer at US Tractor and Harvest for working with the team on baler mechanics!

We want to thank John T. Peroulis for donating his time to be our third chaperone on the trip. Thank you for your support on this trip and for your continued support as a major part of our alumni group!

We also want to thank Murr Show Pigs for donating a hog and Fitch Ranch for donating the processing of the hog for our trip fundraiser. Almost every member of the group was able to fundraise enough money to cover their trip expenses. Thank you to both for your continued support of our chapter!

And a final thank you to every students' parents for your constant and continued support of our chapter, we greatly appreciate it!

What a great week! We got to take 13 students to Indianapolis with us, plus our state-winning ag mechanics team. They competed against teams from almost every state in the nation and came out on the other side as a silver team!! As individuals, Kyler Arnold, Malykai Hampton, and Jonah Moffat-Silver each won silver. Travis LeFevre won gold.

Thank you so much for the support from our sponsors, Tri-State Generation and Transmission, Moffat County Jr. Livestock Sale Foundation, and The Print Shop! Thank you to those who purchased tickets to the drawing for half a processed pig! We would not have been able to give as many students this opportunity without you! And a special thanks to Frontier Station for sponsoring state-winning jackets for the ag mechanics team!

Congratulations to our 2 winners! These two people each won half of a processed hog. The FFA member that sold you your tickets will get in contact with you to go through the cut sheet!

Thank you everyone that bought tickets! These sales made it possible for our chapter to take 17 students to the National FFA convention!!

Next Thursday, October 23rd at 6pm, we are hosting our Halloween scavenger hunt for FFA members! There will be food, pumpkin painting, and the most fun of all, the scavenger hunt!!! Please use the QR codes below to sign-up for pumpkin painting and to sign-up adult drivers for the scavenger hunt teams. Please only sign-up to drive if you have a student or family member attending!

Congratulations to the team that participated in the Range Judging competition held in Yampa on Monday! They faced off against three other chapters and won the silver team plaque, gaining valuable experience and knowledge.

In a little under a month, we'll be heading to Indianapolis, Indiana, for the 98th FFA National Convention! Our chapter is taking our state-winning Ag Mechanics team to compete, along with many other students to enjoy all the educational activities. To help offset the cost of the trip for our students, we're hosting a drawing. Two lucky winners will each receive half a processed pig! Details are below. Students will be out today with informational flyers and sale sheets to start selling tickets.
