After 10 years, my video post on this page has been flagged by FB for violating copyright. I got a message from FB that they're deleting my account. I don't know if that means this page or the whole thing.

I know this is retaliation for my political activism. I've been very careful not to violate TOS. If this entire account disappears from FB, you'll know why. This page itself will definitely be deleted.

If Annapolis is where the Treaty of Paris was signed, and that ended the Revolutionary War, then doesn't that mean that the United States of America was born here in Annapolis? Move over Philadelphia, and make room for Annapolis, the *real* birthplace of America!

Yakov T. Bear is back in Annapolis, Maryland today! You can see the Chesapeake Bay way down at the end of the street. Annapolis is where the Treaty of Paris (ending the Revolutionary War) was ratified and where the Continental Congress met during the 1780s.

I'm learning a lot about being a lobbyist for a non-profit agency. It's important work, and I'm glad people like Robyn Dorsey are looking out for the rest of us. I don't think I want to change jobs, though. I like being a Mascot/World Traveler!

Right, now, Yakov is learning that the life of a non-profit lobbyist involves a lot of sitting and waiting. We're in the House Economic Matters committee waiting to testify against a bad bill. We've been here 90 minutes and it's probably another hour before our bill will come up!

It was truly exciting to be so close to a man who works tirelessly for Americans!

Yakov got to see some consumer protection super stars up close today! We heard former Congressman Barney Frank testify twice today! He's here supporting a bill that would gird Maryland against the Congress and the White House's attempts to dismantle the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau-- which was created by the Dodd-Frank Act, named for a lead sponsor, Barney Frank! Yakov couldn't resist a selfie -- the gentleman in the middle of the shot is Mr. Frank.

Remember, kids, the school principal is your PAL!

Senator Benson took a couple minutes to meet with Yakov T. Bear after hearings today! He was a little nervous to meet a Senator, so I told him she was a school Principal before she was a Senator, and he felt right at home.

Gee, I don't have nails either; I have claws!

At the end of a long day advocating for consumers, Yakov couldn't resist one last photo. You can see the Maryland State House behind him! It was built starting in the 1780s and there are no metal nails in the whole dome. Beyond that impressive feat of engineering and construction, can you think of a reason why there are no nails in the dome?

Even I know insurance rates should be equal, and I don't even drive!

Yakov and I went to visit Delegates in the Maryland House to talk about an important bill that would end discrimination against women in auto insurance pricing. Yakov is quiet the charmer and he made strong arguments in favor of the bill!

Yakov and I just visited our Senate Finance Committee -- this is where bills (which are like the first draft of a law) on financial issues get discussed by our Maryland State Senators.

These houses are tall and skinny! Don't you just love that purple and orange door? Turns out that purple is for the Baltimore Ravens and Orange is for the Baltimore Orioles.

Look who stopped by for a visit! This week, Yakov will be staying at Horsey Home, a traditional Baltimore row home built in the late 1800s! He'll be exploring Baltimore -- Maryland's biggest city, Annapolis -- the State capitol, and heading down to Washington DC on Friday!

When my classmates were saying goodbye to me, some of them noticed the wings on my collar and asked about them. I got to tell them all about my best buddy, Allan M Goddard, and how he gave them to me when I left Miami.

There was a service dog on the ferry. His working harness looked like a saddle, so I tried it out. It didn't work.
