What happens when we stop simply watching what the horse doe and begin exploring what the horse is experiencing?

That is the journey of the Sensory Mapping Masterclass™.

DAY ONE:
SEE → EXPERIENCE → UNDERSTAND

We begin in the classroom with "Who Is The Horse?" - exploring the Herd-Wired Mind™, Sensory Soundness™, sensory processing, the Emotional Engine, Shared Awareness™, psychological distance and time, and the behavioral and psychological operating system behind what we eventually see.

Then something unusual happens. Before the horse enters the Sensory Map... you do.

Our Human Sensory Workshop takes the classroom into the arena, allowing participants to experience how much information can exist *inside* an environment that someone standing outside of it may never recognize.

Then comes Day Two: THE HORSE ENTERS THE MAP

READ → ADAPT → PARTICIPATE → PARTNER

Now that operating system goes into motion. Information changes. Distance changes. Sightlines change. Purpose changes. The rider adds information. The environment is never still.

And eventually, the human enters the moving map. This is where another unique part of the Masterclass comes alive.

Our carefully selected **Featured In-Saddle Coach** joins me in bringing two professional lenses around the same horse and rider.

I may ask: "What is happening within the horse's sensory, psychological and emotional experience?"

Our In-Saddle Coach helps us ask: "What does that feel like from the saddle and how can the rider practically support it?"

Sometimes I can see something the rider cannot feel. Sometimes the coach can feel something I cannot experience from outside the horse.

And sometimes the horse tells all of us something we didn't expect.

Two professional perspectives. One horse. One rider. One experience.

This isn't simply a classroom seminar followed by riding demonstrations. It is an immersive two-day journey from understanding the horse... to learning how to move through the experience together.

The environment becomes the laboratory. The course becomes the conversation. And the horse becomes the teacher.

WHEN THE MAP CHANGES

Sensory Mapping is not simply learning what the horse notices.

It is learning how the horse’s experience changes when the map changes, and how our presence, purpose and movement become part of that map.

“Did the environment change, or did the horse’s experience of the environment change?”

Before asking the horse to move through the environment, take a moment to map it yourself. Envision your purpose and pathway. Know where you're going before asking the horse to go there.

What if you stopped looking at your horse...
and started noticing?

Five things. Five invitations to become curious.
One question beneath them all: Who Is The Horse?

Our new complimentary Field Guide Workbook is waiting for you on website.

Take it to the barn. Your horse can take it from there.

Every horse lives between two worlds.

There is the world nature prepared them for and the world we have created for them. I don't believe the future of horsemanship requires choosing between the two.

The answer is found in the bridge. The horse provides that bridge. Education and understanding are the way across.

I've been working on a deep-dive Performance Profile for an older horse, and time and again something that stands out is how vital early coaching is. So many of the things we see as expressions of behavior later are aberrations of "Who" the horse actually is. Too fast to "label", too quick to "assume"... impeding the young horse's ability to sensory map their environment, corrupting things like Sensory Lead Changes and Sensory Processing... It is so very important to work within the horse's nature and guide their development based upon who they are, and not what we think they should become.
