Parent/Teacher Conferences will be on Monday, October 23rd from 3:15-6:15. Come by and pick up your child's report card and talk to their teachers. After the conference, you can get yourself some dinner from the food trucks or concession stand and watch our basketball team open their season against Highland Rim.

SMS FCA participated in See You At The Pole, a national day where students gather at their flagpole to pray over their school, faculty, students, and families. 8th grade student and FCA leader Christian Ingle lead the prayer.

Boys basketball will be having tryouts for those not on the team already on Wednesday, September 27th from 2-3:30. Tryouts will start during athletic period but please be here by 3:30 to pick up your student.
Coach Johnson spoke today to FCA about the three Hebrews who were thrown into the fiery furnace. He asked what idols we had in our lives that we put before God and why it is important to not follow the crowd.
Saturday South is hosting the CTC volleyball tournament and we are happy to say that Mrs. O’s donuts will be set up outside. Come on by and get some donuts and then come inside and watch some volleyball. Tournament starts at 8:00 am

Thank you Jimmy Davis for speaking at FCA this morning. Jimmy talked about how he was invited to FCA when he was in middle school and it changed his life. He spoke about John 3:16 and how those 25 words are the most important words he’s ever read.

Moon pie fundraiser is underway. Make sure to order some! See any South student to get your order in. Money raised is going to help beautify our school and add more furniture to our courtyard so students can enjoy having class and lunch outside.
