The Future Farmers of America was established in 1928 by a group of young farmers determined to prepare the next generation for the challenge of feeding a growing world. They understood that agriculture goes far beyond just planting and harvesting—it’s a science, a business, and an art. Today, FFA continues to empower young minds to greet those same challenges with confidence by helping them discover their individual strengths and explore a wide range of career opportunities. We’re still the Future Farmers of America, but we’re also the Future Biologists, Future Chemists, Future Veterinarians, Future Engineers, and Future Entrepreneurs of America.

Today, we celebrate the ag teachers who dedicate their time to not only teaching agriculture, but also building leaders, creating opportunities, and preparing students for life beyond the classroom.

As the FFA emblem reminds us, ag teachers are “Here by the Owl” to share knowledge, wisdom, and guidance with the next generation. 🦉

In honor of National Day, what is your favorite memory of an ag teacher who made an impact on you? Share it in the comments, we’d love to hear it! 💙💛

That’s a wrap on the 98th Annual Texas FFA Convention!!!

Today, our Covington FFA Officers attended the Sixth and Final General Session, closing out an incredible week of leadership, learning, and inspiration.

Throughout the week, our retiring Texas FFA State Officers left us with words we’ll carry far beyond convention:
⭐ Don’t take the easy way out.
⭐ We like the color yellow. 💛
⭐ Don’t be afraid to lean on others.
⭐ Don’t compare yourself to others, especially by their successes.
⭐ Not every puzzle piece will fit exactly where you want it to-but trust the process.

As we head home, we’ll continue to uphold this year’s reminder from Area II State Vice President Kinley Hoelscher:

“Leadership isn’t about the title we hold but the impact we make.”

We’re proud of the way our officers represented Covington FFA this week and can’t wait to bring these lessons back to our chapter. Here’s to making an impact all year long! 💙🦉
