We are so grateful to have Officer Bayer!
It's back to school time in Northern Kentucky and we want to take some time over the next two weeks to highlight our incredible School Resource Officers.
First up is Officer Rob Bayer, who is serving Holy Cross Elementary and High School. After enjoying a 15-year retirement from the Edgewood Police Department, he calls becoming a School Resource Officer "one of the most rewarding decisions I have ever made."
He shared, "My goal is to have every person on the Holy Cross campus feel comfortable to approach me and discuss anything that is on their mind or just exchange a fist pump or high five."
School Resource Officers are critical piece of our community. They help create a safe and secure learning environment, building trust between students, staff and law enforcement. Their presence allows for quicker responses to emergencies, while also providing mentorship and education on safety, conflict resolution, and responsible decision-making.
