Attention!! Staff Spotlight!!!! ⭐️
We would like to recognize the staff at both of our Early Learning centers throughout the school year! This week we are spotlighting the amazing staff from the West Center infant room.🍼
Meet: Ms. Charlotte, Mrs. Victoria, and Miss Gabriella!!!
🌟Ms. Charlotte has been with the YMCA for several years. Her favorite color is pink, and she loves pizza and chicken. She is most proud of herself for raising her children and providing a place for them to feel safe and loved. At work, she enjoys watching the babies reach new milestones. She enjoys singing songs, reading and giving them unconditional love every day!
🌟 Mrs. Victoria has also been working with the YMCA for several years. her favorite color is orange and she loves Hibachi. She is most proud of her two beautiful children. At work, she enjoys watching the children learn new skills. She loves that she can witness so many of their "firsts".
🌟 Miss Gabriella has recently joined the infant team at West. Her favorite color is pink and she loves Mexican food. She is most proud of herself for earning her CNA at just 17 years old. At work, she desires to see the infants meet their milestones and in the short time she has been working here, she has already developed a love for each baby.

We are blessed to have these wonderful women working with our infants at the West Center! Thank you for going the extra mile each day to love and care for our youngest learners! Your hard work does not go unnoticed!

Wow! Weeks 3 and 4 in our STREAMin3 curriculum were packed full of exciting activities. Early learning students focused on fall gardening, tasting healthy garden snacks, exploring objects found in nature, shape hunting with flashlights, sorting by color, size and shape, and of course lots of fun interactions with our teaching staff. There was a lot of rich vocabulary entering these growing young minds such as: healthy, gardens, pinecones, soil, seeds, flashlights, shapes etc... Learning is so much fun! 🥕🫑🥒👩‍🌾👨‍🌾🔦🍂

💦☔When it's too wet and rainy to go outside, Mrs. Summer and Miss Carmen decided to create an indoor playground within their classroom. This was a wonderful way to get in some gross motor activities, use large muscle groups, and burn off some of that endless energy that children naturally have all day.

💃🕺 It's never a bad time to have a dance party! Something as simple as dancing helps with gross motor skills and builds lasting connections with the children. Dancing is engaging for not only the children but the staff as well!
