It's almost time for Fairview Elementary Title I Parent–Teacher Conferences!!!

Fairview Elementary values your partnership in your child’s education! Parent–Teacher Conferences will be held during the week of September 14, 2026. This is a great opportunity to connect with your child’s teacher, celebrate progress, discuss areas for growth, and work together to support continued success.

To schedule a conference: Please contact your child’s teacher. Families should also receive a ParentSquare link from the teacher with available dates and times.

This week, our staff learned from one of the best, Dr. Tukes, as we strengthened our practices to increase our impact on E.L.I.T.E. scholar learning!

🎶 In Music, Ms. Cole brought literacy and music together, and our Eagles LOVED it!

Title I Communication
Raising a Reader is a new animated series developed in partnership with the Georgia Department of Education. It provides practical strategies, proven resources, and engaging examples for strengthening literacy development in children. Hosted by Emmy Award-winning Ashlyn Süpper, each episode shares simple and effective ways families can support reading, language development, and a lifelong love of learning at home.

🌟 TEACHER OF THE YEAR SPOTLIGHT 🌟

Our 2026-2027 Teacher of the Year Spotlight Series continues with Ms. Cindy Ventura, Fairview Elementary School’s Teacher of the Year! 🍎

Ms. Ventura has spent all five years of her Newton County Schools career at Fairview Elementary, where she teaches all subjects and works each day to help students build the knowledge and confidence they need for a successful future.

For Ms. Ventura, teaching is about much more than academics. One of the things she values most is building strong relationships with both students and families and creating the kind of trust that allows them to work together toward student success.

💬 “I hope every student takes away that there is someone who believes in them and wants them to succeed.”

That belief in her students is at the heart of Ms. Ventura’s approach to teaching. She was inspired to become an educator by the opportunity to help students learn and guide them toward a path that can positively shape their futures. ❤️

And here’s a fun fact her students might not know: Before becoming a teacher, Ms. Ventura became a certified dental assistant! 🦷

Outside of the classroom, Ms. Ventura enjoys trying new foods and learning about different cultures. 🌎

What a week of learning and inspiration at Fairview!

Ms. Logan’s students were fully engaged in hands-on learning as they explored water pollution through an experiment simulating an oil spill. 🌎💧 Students saw firsthand how pollution can impact our environment and why protecting our natural resources matters.

The learning continued through literacy as students explored narrative techniques using Stink and the Freaky Frog Freakout, completing a graphic organizer to strengthen their understanding of how authors bring stories to life. 📚✏️

From science experiments to strong storytelling, our E.L.I.T.E. Eagles are learning, thinking, exploring, and growing! We ARE ELITE!
