Meet our FIRST GRADE TEAM for 24-25! We are excited for a great year! 🧡💙🐾

First grade wrapped up some of the last days of the school year with a fun and exciting Rock Paper Scissors tournament!!! Congrats to the winners!!

Due to forecasted severe weather, Covington Independent Public Schools will dismiss early today, Tuesday, April 2.

Walkers will be released at noon and bus riders will dismiss beginning at 12:30 p.m.

Parents may begin picking up their children at noon at all locations.

The afternoon session at James E. Biggs is canceled.

All afterschool activities and athletic events are canceled.

Friday will be a Lions Spirit Day! Let’s cheer on our former GOS Wildcat, Derrick Barnes, in his upcoming playoff game!

Save the date for our Valentine’s Dance! More information will be coming home soon in Tuesday folders. We can’t wait to see all of our families there to dance the night away with our DJ and staff members! 💕

TOMORROW (8/28) is the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!!! We are so excited for an AMAZING new year to begin! 💙🧡🐾💙🧡🐾
Just a few reminders:
*The school day starts at 8:00 and ends at 3:05!
*The school doors will open at 7:25 each day! (There is no outside supervision prior to 7:25)
*Morning assembly begins in the gym at 7:45 each day!
*Dismissal will be based on the student number system! If you attended Meet the Teacher you should have received yours, if not you will soon!! Car riders will come out the front door (please be patient with the car line) and walkers will come out the gym door! Please have your number ready!
