🇺🇸 AMERICAN FFA DEGREE RECIPIENTS 🇺🇸

Covington FFA is incredibly proud to recognize Douglas Farney , Dakota Greve , and Connor Leland for earning the American FFA Degree with the National FFA Organization .

The American FFA Degree is the highest degree an FFA member can earn and represents years of dedication to agricultural education, Supervised Agricultural Experiences, leadership, and service.

Douglas Farney, Dakota Greve, and Connor have continued to represent Covington High Chargers FFA well beyond their time in the agriculture classroom, and we are so proud to see their hard work recognized on the national level.

The Covington FFA had a phenomenal day at the 2026 Tennessee FFA Dairy Judging Contest, as we finished 5th out of 34 teams! Very proud of these guys and looking forward to a great school year!!

A great day at the 2026 TN FFA State Fair FFA Day! From Ms. Baylea Walton doing big things at the Tennessee FFA Ham Breakfast to 1st contests and new contests for several Covington FFA members, it was a great day! All results will be posted together once we have all the results!

Had a big time this week at the 2026 State Sheep Expo and TN State Fair Market Lamb Show in Lebanon, Tennessee. The Turner/Hawkins squad more than held their own against 600 sheep in the building! The Covington FFA and UT UT Tsu Extension Tipton are very proud and impressed wirh each of their hard work and dedication to their sheep project!

The National FFA Organization has released the results for the 2026 Summer Judging for the National Chapter Award, Agriscience Fair, and Proficiencies. Without delay, here are the results today! We appreciate all of the Covington FFA members for their hard work and dedication each day to be the very best!

National Chapter Award= The Covington FFA is a 2 star National Chapter Award, which is outstanding, being one of 27 chapters moving from Tennessee to the big stage!

Agriscience Fair= Hunter Marbry is a National Bronze Medalist in his PST area, and we are looking forward to many more achievements from this young man for many years to come

A great evening of fellowship and celebration with the TN Young Farmers & Ranchers District 1 at the Annual Top Crop Dinner. With the purpose of celebrating State Proficiency Winners and American Degree Recipients, we honored Connor Leland and Matthew Kurrus while mixing and mingling with alumni and other FFA members.

Thank you to TN Soybean Promo Council for your generous sponsorship of our meal and to our speakers, TN Commissioner of Agriculture Andy Holt and TN Farm Bureau President Eric Mayberry for reminding us why continuing our Involvement in agriculture past the blue jackets is so important.

We are gearing up for another EPIC school year at Covington FFA! Help Jerry Johnson, Elizabeth Flanagan, Bryan T. Cole and Mary Jean Hall start the year strong by purchasing some items off our wishlist. Every little thing helps, from pencils to more permanent items, and it makes a difference for our students!
