🚨 Texas A&M Applicants, Take Note! 🤠📚

Texas A&M has updated its 2026–2027 Common App! In addition to the personal essay, applicants will now complete four new required short-answer essays.

This gives you even more opportunities to help admissions understand who you are beyond your transcript.

The key is making sure every section tells one cohesive story. Your personal essay, short-answer essays, GPA, test scores, activities, and honors should all work together to showcase your passions, experiences, strengths, and future goals.

When every piece of your application reinforces the same message, admissions officers gain a clearer picture of who you are and why you’d be a great fit at Texas A&M.

🚨 The wait is over… ApplyTexas is officially OPEN! 🎉

If you’re a Class of 2027 senior planning to attend a Texas college or university, today is the day to get started!

Opening your ApplyTexas account early gives you time to:
🎓 Research colleges
📝 Complete applications thoughtfully
✍️ Refine essays and short-answer responses
📄 Gather transcripts and other required documents
📅 Stay ahead of deadlines instead of racing to meet them

💡 One important reminder: While ApplyTexas opens today, individual colleges may have different application timelines. Always check each college’s admissions website for application availability, deadlines, and admission requirements.

I feel like we often test, test, test… but we don’t always explain the WHY behind it. 🤔

So here it is 👇
The TSIA2 isn’t just another test—it’s a college readiness checkpoint that impacts your time, money, and opportunities.

In Texas, if you don’t have passing scores, you will be placed in remedial courses before you can take college-level English and Math.

And here’s what many families don’t realize 👇
Your passing scores can come from a combination of tests:
✔️ TSIA2
✔️ SAT
✔️ ACT

For example:
You can have a passing Math score from the SAT and a passing Reading score from the TSIA2.

Why this matters:
