We are finishing up our first week back together. Children are so happy to see friends from last year and meet new kids this year. We are picking giant pawpaws and admiring the biggest backyard chicken ever. We are looking forward to raising a new chick soon. The garden is perfect for picking and the kids eat fresh green beans, cherry tomatoes, herbs, kohlrabi, and more. I am so grateful to be moving into the Autumn rhythm with this group.

When you work with little ones, you hope that you will get a real snow each year. Snow you can sled in, build up, and make maple syrup snow cones with. We were so lucky to have a “real” winter, as we can already feel the subtle shift toward spring. Birds are singing again and sap is flowing. I’ll bet that Groundhog is bluffing.
