Alexandra is Clearwood Junior High's eighth grade 2025-2026 Student of the Year! Alexandra has a strong interest in the arts and can play multiple instruments including piano, guitar, and trumpet, and is also in talented art. She aspires to become a journalist where she can express her passions for writing and addressing the social issues she cares most about.

Julie Revere is a dedicated custodian who helps keep Slidell Junior High clean, safe, and ready for learning every day. She enjoys the relationships she builds across campus and appreciates the supportive administration and strong school community that make SJH feel like home.

Congratulations to Janet Grillot, Bus Operator, for being named our Site Division Employee of the Year!

Janet is more than just a bus operator - she is a friend, a guardian, and an advocate for the countless children she has dedicated herself to safely transporting. Because Janet is the first person her students see every morning she is always certain to greet them with a smile and a good morning to make sure their days start off with a positive attitude. She establishes a strong sense of community on her bus every year and believes that her students help her just as much as she helps them.

Cooper is Bayou Lacombe Middle's 2025-2026 Student of the Year! Cooper enjoys expressing his creativity through playing violin, trumpet, drawing and more! He dreams of becoming a veterinarian when he grows up so he can help animals stay healthy and happy. Cooper was also a district finalist for Student of the Year!

Congratulations to Misty Richmond, Substitute Teacher at Madisonville Junior High, for being named our STPPS Substitute of the Year!

Misty found herself substitute teaching after serving as the Madisonville Junior High PTA President and has since been described as incredible, optimistic, and the most reliable person you will ever meet. She prioritizes making students feel valued by staying interactive and maintaining positive relationships.

William is Lake Harbor Middle's 2025-2026 Student of the Year! William has been a community organizer for the Samaritan Center where he planned and directed food drives, is an avid fan of sports, and expresses his love for music by playing the trumpet his school's band!
