Adventure Awaits at Peachtree Academy! 🛶 Peachtree's Outdoor Education students recently braved the wilderness during an unforgettable 3-day, 2-night canoe camping trip in the breathtaking Okefenokee Swamp.

This journey took them through the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge, the largest blackwater swamp in North America, spanning approximately 407,000 acres of natural beauty. From stunning sunrises and sunsets to starry-filled night skies, students embraced the wonders of God's creation and even encountered a few wild friends like alligators, sandhill cranes, and barred owls!

Paddling 20 miles through open prairie, cedar forests, and the Suwannee Canal, students not only learned about the swamp’s natural history and ecology but also discovered more about themselves and their teammates.

A big thanks to Okefenokee Adventures and our amazing guide, Dan, for making this experience possible. The memories, lessons, and bonds formed on this trip will last a lifetime!

𝐒𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦! ❄️ Mrs. Green’s 1st-grade class at our Conyers campus brought a touch of winter indoors last week with a fun and frosty science experiment!

As part of their unit on extreme weather conditions, the students created “snow” using the super-absorbent fibers from diapers. By adding water to the fibers, the class watched in amazement as they expanded into fluffy, snow-like material. This hands-on activity sparked curiosity and helped students learn about weather phenomena in a tactile and memorable way. The best part? They got to touch and explore their snowy creations—no mittens required! 🙌

Their hard work, determination, and incredible athleticism have earned them this amazing honor. Join us in celebrating these talented young athletes! 🐾💙
