It is one of three high schools found in Newton County. Eastside High School (EHS) is committed to open communication with our parents and community. EHS designed its Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube pages to give important information regarding the school. Please remember that the mission of EHS is to provide educational excellence for all students through strong relationships and instru

Eastside High School recognized on 2024 Advanced Placement School Honor Roll The College Board has announced that Eastside High School has earned a place on the 2024 Advanced Placement Program School Honor Roll, achieving bronze distinction.

PLAYOFF FOOTBALL VS HAMPTON HS 11/15
-Eastside will host Hampton HS in the first round of the AAAA GHSA State Football Playoffs 7:30 PM FRIDAY, 11/15, at Sharp Stadium.
-Tickets may be purchased at https://gofan.co/ while supplies last.
-Only GHSA passes are accepted for playoff contests.
-Newton County Schools will enhance safety with a new weapons detection system at Sharp Stadium. Find out what to expect https://www.newtoncountyschools.org/departments/public_relations/news/weapons_detection_at_sharp_stadium
-For all football games, please remember to enter the stadium according to your purchased VISITOR/HOME ticket. Also, please be mindful that spectators are not permitted to cross sides of Sharp Stadium.
-Tickets must be redeemed at the gate of entry. Screenshot pictures of tickets are not valid and will not be honored.
-As a measure of security, only clear bags will be permitted. (Small clutch bags, with or without a handle or strap, that do not exceed 4.5" X 6.5" are acceptable)
-Middle school and elementary students must be accompanied by a supervising adult. Anyone under the age of 14 who is not with a supervising adult will not be permitted in the stadium.
-No outside food, drink, or coolers are allowed in the game venue (stadium, gym, field, etc.)
-No to***co or va**ng products.
-No weapons of any kind.
-All items are subject to search by game administrator
-Entry gates will close at halftime or once manageable capacity is reached and entry will not be permitted once gates are closed.

Eastside Eagles, Social Circle Redskins compete in cross country state meets The high school cross country season wrapped up this past weekend as each classification met at Carrollton High School for the GHSA Championships.Of the county-area team, Eastside and Social Circle each qualified for spots in the championship meets after strong performances at sectionals.

CONGRATULATIONS to Eastside Swimming. This weekend at the Eastside Invite our Lady Eagles came in 2nd and our men's team came in 3rd! Overall we placed 3rd defeating Morgan County, Mary Persons and Rockdale.

The following swimmers placed in the top 3 in their individual events:
Jack Hays, Tucker Rowe, Maggie O'Brien, Kayce Stamper, Joseph Mota and Abby Barron.
The men's 200 freestyle relay took 1st place with Noel Harrison, Tucker Rowe, Joseph Mota and Jack Hays.
