A little creativity, teamwork, and plenty of fun to kick off the year in Mrs. Nicholls’ art classes!

Students put their skills to the test through a variety of team-building challenges, including blindfolded drawing, drawing from observation and memory, and even working together to control one marker using strings. It was a great way to get students creating, collaborating, and thinking outside the box from day one.

We gathered as one Hannan family today to celebrate our first school Mass of the year, beginning the new school year together in faith and prayer.

A special thank you to our senior parents who joined us for Mass following Senior Car Decorating. We are grateful to have you share in these special traditions as we begin an exciting year with the Class of 2027.

A special morning for our Marching Hawks! Our band visited Our Lady of the Lake to share their love of music and give students a look at all that comes with learning to play an instrument and being part of a band.

We loved seeing our Hawks share their talents, enthusiasm, and passion for music with the next generation of musicians. Thank you to Our Lady of the Lake for having us!

Summer Reading is always better when we get to come together and talk about it!

After selecting from a variety of summer reading options, our students came together today to discuss their books, share perspectives, ask questions, and make connections with their classmates.

A special thank you to Mrs. Foster for organizing our Summer Reading program and to our faculty and staff for leading these discussions. What a great way to start the school year with meaningful conversation and a love of reading!

There’s something special about starting your final year together.

Our Class of 2027 gathered bright and early this morning for Senior Sunrise, marking the beginning of their last first day at Hannan. Here’s to a year full of memories, milestones, and moments they’ll carry with them long after graduation.

Seniors, your year starts now. Make it count.

As we begin our first official school day with all of our Hawks back on campus, we invite our Hannan community to join us in prayer for the year ahead.

Father David shares this special prayer for our students, faculty, and staff as we begin a new year together:

Blessed are you, Lord God, Creator of body and mind and heart; you have sent the Spirit of wisdom and knowledge to guide your people in all their ways.

At the beginning of this new school year we implore your mercy: bless the students, teachers, and staff of Archbishop Hannan High School so that we may grow in faith, hope, and love as we learn from you and each other how to follow your Son.

Expand the horizons of our minds, that we may grow in wisdom, understanding, and knowledge; deepen our commitment to seek the truth of your ways; and enliven our faith to reach out to those in need.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

May God bless our students, faculty, staff, and families as we begin another year of learning, growing, serving, and living out our faith together.

And just like that, we’re back!

Our 8th and 9th graders kicked off the new school year today, from arriving in car line and getting acquainted with their classes to catching up with friends over lunch.

A big thank you to some of our Student Council members who were on campus helping our newest Hawks find their way, answering questions, and making sure everyone knew where to go.

It was a great first day, and we’re excited to welcome the rest of our Hawks back to campus tomorrow!

A sweet finish to a great week!

Our faculty and staff wrapped up Orientation Week on Friday with an ice cream social and some time to enjoy being together before welcoming our Hawks back to campus.

After a full week of prayer, preparation, collaboration, and fellowship, we’re ready for another great year at Hannan. Join us in sending our faculty and staff your best wishes and prayers for a wonderful school year ahead. We are so grateful for all they do for our students and the Hannan community!

Our Hawks were back on campus for Back to School Day, getting everything in place and preparing for the year ahead. It was great to see familiar faces, welcome new ones, and feel the excitement of a new school year beginning.

Today, we officially kick things off as we welcome our 8th and 9th graders for their first day!

Our Blue Bridge received an upgrade thanks to the generosity and hard work of two dedicated Hannan alumni, Brad Richoux ’94 and Jason Lay ’96, who led, funded, and completed this project.

Thank you, Brad and Jason, for continuing to invest in Hannan and helping us build a campus our Hawks are proud to call home.
