The 2026-2027 HMS 8th grade promotion will take place on Thursday, May 28th from 6:00-7:30 PM in the Holmes High School Fieldhouse. Campus drive will be closed during this time. Please park in the middle school or high school parking lot.

Attention HMS Students and Parent,
This is a reminder that students have school on Monday, May 18th. Students do not have school on Tuesday, May 19th - Election Day. Students will be back at school on Wednesday, May 20th.

Attention Parents,
We are seeking parent nomination for Site-Based Decision Making Council (SBDM) for the 2026-2027 school year. The deadline to nominate is Thursday, May 14th. Click the link to fill out the nomination form.

If your child is currently attending Covington Schools on an in-district or out of district transfer and is enrolled in a school outside your designated attendance area it’s time to apply for acceptance for the 2026 - 2027 school year. Applications are available at your child’s school or on the Covington Independent Public School’s district website.

All applications must be submitted by May 15, 2026, no later than 2:30 p.m. Late submissions will not be considered.

Holmes Middle School will begin the Kentucky Summative Assessment on Friday, May 8th. To help encourage our students and staff we will have Testing Spirit Week beginning, Monday May 4th until Friday, May 8th. Monday, May 4th i - Mix-Up-Monday, Tuesday May 5th - Super Hero Day, Wednesday, May 6th - Dress To Impress, Thursday, May 7th - Bulldog Pride, Friday, May 8th - Flashback Friday. Students and staff will have an opportunity to win prizes for their participation.
