Celebrating a memorable weekend at prom with my amazing students! It’s always a joy to see them come together, celebrate their accomplishments, and create lasting memories before stepping into their next chapter. Proud to be part of their journey and to witness their growth both in and out of the classroom. Here’s to bright futures ahead!

Last week I had the privilege of speaking at the Newton County Schools B.E.S.T. Program Celebration Dinner, an evening dedicated to recognizing and uplifting some of the most passionate emerging educators in our community.

It was truly inspiring to be in a room filled with individuals who have chosen a profession rooted in purpose, resilience, and impact. As I shared with them, teaching is more than a career, it’s a calling that requires heart, perseverance, and a commitment to growth, even on the hardest days.

To the educators in the B.E.S.T. Program: your presence in this work matters more than you know. The investment you’re making today will echo in the lives of students for years to come.

Thank you to Newton County Schools for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful event. I’m excited to see the continued impact of this incredible group of educators.

I may not be in the classroom as much these last few weeks of school because of testing, but that doesn’t mean I stop going hard for my students. The mission doesn’t pause, it just looks different.

Special thanks to Snubbed Magazine for inviting us back out again tonight for the Michael movie premiere. Experiences like this matter, and I’m grateful my students had the opportunity to be part of something so special.

And let me just say…the movie was absolutely incredible. Powerful, moving, and unforgettable. It sparked conversations, emotions, and inspiration, exactly the kind of impact I want my students to experience beyond the classroom.

It always warms my heart when people stop me to compliment my students, their behavior, their presence, their excellence. They represent themselves, their families, and our school so well, and I couldn’t be more proud.

Moments like these remind me: teaching goes far beyond four walls.

Today was a hands-on learning experience our students won’t forget!

We had the pleasure of welcoming Darrica Hardy, owner of The Heart Scent, who spoke with our Marketing Entrepreneurship students about the realities of building a business, growing a brand, and turning passion into profit.

Students didn’t just listen, they created! Each student made their very own Fruit Loop Mini Bowl Candle, combining creativity with real-world business insight.

Experiences like this bring entrepreneurship to life and show our students what’s truly possible when vision meets action.
