Weekly recap! This week was a short week for us due to being closed Monday for Indigenous Peoples Day. We had our yearly field trip to the fire house, adopted a snail named rainbow, set up a pumpkin to watch decompose, talked about our numerals 0-5, finger painted, learned about symmetry, used flashlights to find things around the classroom that are opaque, and made suncatchers using items found in nature.

Introducing Spooky our class pumpkin! We will be observing Spooky throughout his life cycle. We will get to watch as he docomposes, returns to the soil, and hopefully sprouts new pumpkins!

FPCP weekly recap! This week was all about patterns and sorting. We did activities like digging objects out of play dough and sorting them by color, size, or shape. Building block towers in a pattern, lining up m&ms and then eating them in order, and using our bodies to make patterns (clap your hands then pat your head!). In between we had worship with Pastor Linda, music with Pastor Jim, celebrated a birthday, made paper people, and enjoyed our play room.

We had so much fun this week! Monday we planted seeds and learned what they need to grow. Tuesday we learned about shapes, how many sides they have, and played a matching game. Wednesday we matched animal mommies to their babies. And Thursday we collaborated together to make a portrait! In between we played outside, enjoyed music with pastor Jim, and painted a still life.

This week at FPCP we celebrated the first day of fall and another birthday! We learned about community, made self portraits, and saw how tall we are. We did lots of crafts and dancing, and we had our first day of worship with Pastor Linda.

We've had our first 4 day week at FPCP! This week we celebrated a birthday, learned about emotions with Tucker Turtle, wrote in our journals, drew letters in shaving cream, played in water outside, played instruments with Pastor Jim, painted, and got into the glitter.
