Adventure Details:

On Saturday Morning, we will visit Devil's Den for a 1 tank dive. Devil’s Den spring dates back to prehistoric times and on cold winter mornings you can see steam, like smoke, rising from the chimney opening. Thus, the early settlers gave it the name Devil's Den. With crystal clear water, ancient rock formations, stalactites, fossil beds that date back 33 million years, and much more. You’re guaranteed to leave with memories that will last a lifetime! The spring has a 120 ft. surface diameter and a mushroom shape below the surface. The maximum depth is 54ft and the water is 72 degrees year-round.

On Saturday Afternoon, we will visit Rainbow River for a 1 tank drift dive. Rainbow River is a spring that is 5.7 miles long with depths up to 25 feet and unmatched crystal clear 72-degree year around water temperature with over 200 feet of visibility. Rainbow River has an abundance of wildlife that you can witness and interact with whether in or out of the water as well as many different varieties of fish, turtles, and other water wildlife that you can see up close. You can discover fossils coming out of the different springs dotting the bottom. At the end of the drift there is a small cavern were Sunfish love to hangout. This drift dive can be enjoyed by the whole family.

On Sunday, we will visit Blue Grotto for 2-1 tank dives. Blue Grotto is the largest clear water cavern located in the heart of freshwater spring country. Blue Grotto lets you dive down to a depth of 100 feet in crystal clear (year-round 72-degree water temperature) while always being able to see the surface, so no special certification is needed to dive here. You can experience this dive location with only an open water diver certification because Blue Grotto is the safest cavern dive in the area which makes it a thrilling and fun dive for all levels of diving experience.

NOT MERELY DECORATIVE…
These stone structures protect the entrances to two natural solution pipes that lead to a football-field-size cave which lies under the end of the parking lot. And no, you can’t dive it. The cave is environmentally sensitive. It not only requires Cave Diver training and equipment but those who visit must be accompanied by a guide whose job it is to ensure no damage to the cave occurs. Still, it’s cool to know that it’s down there, right under your feet.
