While we're disappointed not to be there in person, we'll be cheering everyone on from afar.

Bringing back the 5th Grade Science Fair was such a special moment for our Jenkins Creek community! 🔬✨ Our students showed curiosity, creativity, confidence, and so much hard work as they shared their projects and discoveries.

A huge congratulations to this year’s Science Fair award winners:
🏆 William Matua — Neil deGrasse Outstanding Presentation Award
🏆 Cavanaugh Noel — Temple Grandin Most Creative Award
🏆 Amina Lewis — Mae Jemison Future Innovator Award

This event would not have been possible without the outstanding leadership, encouragement, and support of our 5th grade teachers, Ms. Ameillya Jean and Mr. Steve Goliff. 💙

A big shout out to the Jenkins Creek PTA for supporting this event and helping bring back a memorable opportunity for our 5th graders to think like scientists, ask big questions, and shine! 🌟🧪

And a huge thank you to all of our special volunteer guest judges, including Councilwoman Jennifer Harjehausen and the Jenkins Creek Jaguar, for taking the time to celebrate our students’ hard work and make the day even more special! 🐾👏

🎪 The Jenkins Creek Carnival is coming up on Friday, June 12th! 🎉

Join us for an evening of fun, games, treats, raffles, and community celebration. Carnival entry is free, so bring the family and come enjoy the fun!

We also need volunteers to help make this event a success. From games and activities to setup and support, there are lots of ways to jump in. Please check out the SignUpGenius and grab a spot that works for you.

🌱 Garden Club Week 3 was full of growing, planting, observing, and a whole lot of muddy hands!

This week, our Garden Club students decorated their own take home planter cups and planted a variety of seeds, from squash and sunflowers to beans and more. They also watered and cared for our garden beds using the now-full rain barrels, which made the work feel extra exciting and hands-on. 💧🌻

Students continued working in their garden journals, documenting the changes they are noticing in the garden beds and thinking like real young gardeners and scientists as they observe what is growing, changing, and sprouting.

We love seeing their curiosity, care, and excitement grow right alongside the garden! 🌿✨

Come celebrate our young scientists as they share their experiments, demonstrations, and discoveries.
Date: Thursday, May 28, 2026
Doors Open: 4:30 PM
Science Fair Presentations: 5:00–6:00 PM
Location: Jenkins Creek MPR

We are also looking for volunteer Science Fair judges to help review student projects and celebrate their hard work. No science background is required — just curiosity, encouragement, and a willingness to support our 5th graders.

🌱 Garden Club Week Two! 🌱

Our Garden Club students had another wonderful afternoon digging into hands-on learning!

This week, students planted a variety of seeds in cups they decorated themselves, worked in their garden journals, and helped care for our growing garden by watering the plants in the garden beds. It was so fun to see their creativity, curiosity, and excitement as they learned more about how plants grow.

We cannot wait to watch their seeds sprout and see what grows next! 🌿💚
