🍭 Trunk or Treat Candy Donation 🍭
🍬 CALLING ALL CANDY! 🍬

Our Jenkins Creek Trunk or Treat is going to have a LOT of little Jaguars making their way from trunk to trunk… which means we need a LOT of treats. 👻🎃

JCPTA is collecting individually wrapped candy donations to help keep our trunks stocked and make the evening extra sweet for our students.

Every bag helps — seriously. Whether you donate one bag or enough candy to make your grocery cart look slightly suspicious, it all adds up. 😂🍫🍭

🎨✨ Calling all Jenkins Creek artists, creators, storytellers & performers! ✨🎨

The PTA Reflections Art Contest is actually part of a national arts program run by National PTA. Local PTAs, like JCPTA, host the contest at their individual schools and give students the opportunity to participate.

Local PTAs collect and judge the entries, recognize their school-level participants and winners. Eligible winning entries can advance through additional PTA levels toward state and ultimately national recognition.

“What My Culture Means to Me.” ❤️

Students can showcase their creativity in six different categories:

🎭 Dance Choreography
🎬 Film Production
✍️ Literature
🎵 Music Composition
📸 Photography
🎨 Visual Arts

Students may submit one entry per category, so there are plenty of ways to get creative and share what culture means to them.

📅 Final submissions are due December 2
📍 Turn entries in to the Main Office / PTA Mailbox

We can’t wait to see the incredible ideas, stories, artwork, performances, and perspectives our Jaguars create! 🐾

JCPTA is looking for local businesses and community partners who want to support our Jaguars during the 2026–27 school year!

Your sponsorship helps us provide more programs, activities, and resources for Jenkins Creek students, families, and staff — while giving your business recognition as a supporter of our school community.

There are several ways to get involved, including sponsoring an event, supporting our LEGO, Art, Garden, and STEM clubs, offering a give-back/kickback program, or making a direct contribution. Sponsorship opportunities begin at $500 and may include recognition such as your logo on our Jaguar Mascot Jersey or school banners, social media recognition, and Movie Night sponsor highlights.

Students will also have opportunities to shop with their classes on October 13, 14 & 15.

Volunteers are a huge part of what makes Jenkins Creek such a welcoming, connected school community. Whether you have 30 minutes or a few hours, there are lots of ways to help — in classrooms, at school events, with special projects, or during activities.

✅ VIPS approval is required to volunteer in Kent School District schools. Even if you’ve volunteered before, VIPS must be renewed each school year.

No special skills, cape, or huge time commitment required — just a willingness to help! ❤️

Our LEGO Club is all about creativity, problem-solving, and having fun with friends! Students will get the chance to enjoy free building, LEGO challenges, and plenty of opportunities to create something awesome together.

Bringing back the 5th Grade Science Fair was such a special moment for our Jenkins Creek community! 🔬✨ Our students showed curiosity, creativity, confidence, and so much hard work as they shared their projects and discoveries.

A huge congratulations to this year’s Science Fair award winners:
🏆 William Matua — Neil deGrasse Outstanding Presentation Award
🏆 Cavanaugh Noel — Temple Grandin Most Creative Award
🏆 Amina Lewis — Mae Jemison Future Innovator Award

This event would not have been possible without the outstanding leadership, encouragement, and support of our 5th grade teachers, Ms. Ameillya Jean and Mr. Steve Goliff. 💙

A big shout out to the Jenkins Creek PTA for supporting this event and helping bring back a memorable opportunity for our 5th graders to think like scientists, ask big questions, and shine! 🌟🧪

And a huge thank you to all of our special volunteer guest judges, including Councilwoman Jennifer Harjehausen and the Jenkins Creek Jaguar, for taking the time to celebrate our students’ hard work and make the day even more special! 🐾👏
