Dear NEF,
On behalf of the members of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter at Newton College and Career Academy, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for the $3,000 teacher innovation grant. This generous support has been transformative for our organization and the 100+ students we serve in grades 9–12.
Your investment has already made a tangible difference. Students now have access to professional attire that removes barriers to competition participation, allowing them to compete with confidence at the regional and state levels. We're thrilled that our students recently returned from the Georgia FBLA State High School Leadership Conference with awards and recognition—looking sharp in their new FBLA jackets!
Beyond immediate needs, this grant enables us to pursue ambitious goals that will deepen our impact:
Increasing access through membership scholarships to increase participation by 30%.
Expanding opportunities by funding travel to state and national leadership conferences.
Strengthening community connections through enhanced service projects and local partnerships.
Building skills via workshops in entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, and technology.
More importantly, your support helps us fulfill our mission: developing future-ready graduates who are confident communicators, team players, and genuine leaders. By removing financial barriers, we ensure that every student, regardless of circumstances, can participate fully and compete on a statewide and national stage.
Thank you for believing in our students and investing in Newton County's future workforce. Your partnership is truly making innovators and professionals out of the next generation.
With deep appreciation,
The members of NCCA FBLA.

2-Hour Delayed Start-Monday, March 16, 2026
Out of an abundance of caution, and in alignment with several of our regional school system counterparts, Newton County Schools will operate on a two-hour delayed start tomorrow, Monday, March 16.
Weather forecasts indicate the potential for severe storms in our area during the early morning hours, including the possibility of strong thunderstorms, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes. These conditions could impact travel during our normal bus routes and arrival times.
We take seriously the safety of our transportation specialists who are on the roads early each morning, as well as the safety of our students and staff traveling to school.
Please note that this decision does not mean that severe thunderstorms will always result in delayed operations. In this instance, however, several factors including matters of timing and projected severity were considered as part of this decision.
Thank you for your continued support as we work to keep our students and staff safe.
