Project #2 for the last month has been making 4’ tall marquee letters! The letters turned out great and can’t wait to see them lit up at school events! A big thanks goes out to the engineering program for the help with the letter backing.

Construction students have been busy over the last month. One of the projects we have been working on is now complete! They built a shade shelter for the livestock here at the farm. A big thanks to the forestry students and program for the lumber from the sawmill!

Last week our students had the opportunity to attend a OSHA 10 training class. Between the construction pathway and Ag mech we had 58 students receive their OSHA 10 certification! A HUGE shout out to Carroll Daniel Construction for giving the training!

2/29 field trip for NCCA Construction. We toured Becdon Steel, Stark Truss Co., and the Mobley Hall renovation project being done by Carroll Daniel Construction.

*** UPDATE, ALL OF THE BENCHES HAVE BEEN ACCOUNTED/SPOKEN FOR AS OF NOW!! A HUGE THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED SUPPORT NCCA CONSTRUCTION!! Be on the lookout for more projects in the near future!
The construction classes have been very busy building benches. The students have done a great job with these. We plan to sell the benches for $100 each. There is a limited stock on them. Message if interested.

The construction class learned how to cut stair stringers this week! And we were able to build a set here at NCCA! The students did a great job!

We competed in the AGC skills challenge and SkillsUSA GA regional competitions today for carpentry and welding. We had 4 participants from NCCA compete, and they did great. A big shoutout to Luke Rosser for moving on to the State Competition with SkillsUSA!

We are starting on some community Christmas projects early! The timing was perfect, as we just went over some power tools including the Jigsaw.

A couple of the seniors are building a live edge bench from wood cut at our sawmill. It is coming together very well! Looking forward to the final product!
