Olivia's teacher says, "Olivia picked up trash on the playground without being asked to do so. We are so very proud of Olivia for showing responsibility in keeping our playground clean. Keep up the amazing work!"
Olivia received a "My Principal is Proud of Me" pencil, a shout out on the intercom, and a token for our book vending machine where she chose her FREE book!

Tomorrow, Friday, May 22, is the final day of school for students and will be an EARLY RELEASE DAY.

Student dismissal times will be:
• Elementary Schools & the STEAM Academy — 11:15 AM
• High Schools — 12:15 PM
• Middle Schools — 1:15 PM

Lunch will be served at all schools prior to dismissal, and students who normally ride school buses will be transported to their regular afternoon bus stops.

Today we celebrate a truly special member of the East Newton family, Ms. Betsy McGlone, as she begins her retirement!

For many years, Ms. McGlone has shared her sunshine, kindness, and unwavering love with our students, families, and staff. Her smile could brighten any day, and her caring heart made every child feel loved, nurtured, and valued. She has also been an incredible teammate and friend to so many coworkers throughout the years.

East Newton is a better place because of the impact Ms. McGlone has made, and her legacy will continue to live on in the countless lives she has touched.

We wish her endless joy, relaxation, and adventure in this next chapter of life. Congratulations on your retirement, Ms. McGlone- you will be greatly missed!
