CCA’s mission is to develop a passion for learning both inside and outside the classroom. Visit www.covingtonclassicalacademy.org to learn more.

To succeed in today’s world, students need to learn not just as young adults, but throughout their careers. We designed the CCA curriculum, based on classical education, to build a real desire to understand. Our unique Fifth Day program takes learning outside of the classroom to build life-long skills.

Congratulations to Covington Classical Academy's Class of 2026! CCA has been educating bright and curious students in the Greater Cincinnati Area for five years. This year’s graduation celebrates the first student, Atlas Lewis, to have completed all five years at the school - from 8th through 12th grade.

Our Class of 2026 is well-prepared for college due to CCA’s classical, liberal arts curriculum. Graduates have earned scholarships to four-year colleges in Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana this year. They have earned a combined 48 college credits via Northern Kentucky University’s School-Based Scholars/Dual Credit program.

Cheers, graduates!

CCA Students went for a bike ride along the Ohio River Trail with Red Bikes - Doug McClintock, the Executive Director of Cincy Red Bike, provided bikes and helmets for students who then biked along the riverfront from Smale Park to International Friendship Park and back. Along the way, they learned about the geological fossil timeline, tree identification, and the industrial history of the riverfront's trains and water works.

Students who weren't yet confident cycling, worked with Scarlett Hayes, a volunteer with MoBo Bicycle Co-op, to develop their biking skills.

Our 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students have been studying Classical Architecture and Neo-Classical art and took a Fifth Day to tour Spring Grove Funeral Homes, Cemetery & Arboretum as part of their studies. The mausoleums, shrines, and structures gave them an opportunity to appreciate Greek and Roman architecture up close.

Congratulations to junior, Kavi who was selected from an applicant pool of over 2,000, as a participant in this year's Kentucky Governor's Scholars Program!

"Selection for the program is highly competitive, with an application process similar to that of prestigious colleges and universities. In addition to an academic profile that includes difficulty of course load, GPA, and at least one standardized test score, the application requires an outline of all extracurricular activities, a history of volunteer service, and a list of job positions held. A Teacher recommendation which includes both a quantitative evaluation and qualitative descriptions of the student’s performance and potential; as well as a Community Recommendation which shows how a student performs in a community setting beyond the high school are also required. The final component of the application is an original writing entry."

Kavi's commitment to his rigorous academics here at CCA, his community, and his extra-curricular activities make him an excellent student to participate in this summer's program! We know he will be an honorable ambassador for Covington Classical Academy, and wish him well for a summer of intense learning and personal development!

Students enjoyed a Fifth Day at the Kenton County Cooperative Extension Service where they toured the arboretum, learning about the over 100 woody plant species planted there. They also learned about planting wild meadows and harvesting and preparing maple syrup. Once inside, students enjoyed a cooking class; learning how to make pasta from scratch, then prepared the sauce and a salad to go with it. Throughout their time in the kitchen, students learned about food safety and safe practices in the kitchen.

Students had an impactful day at Tikkun Farm! The day began with a tour of the farm, including a community garden where neighbors can harvest fresh fruits and vegetables, complete with raised beds and community compost and mulch areas.

They spent time in the pasture with over 50 chickens, 2 turkeys (including Emma, who is the friendliest turkey ever known), and a llama.

This was a service Fifth Day, where students not only learned more about farming and gardening, but also gave back to their community; one group of students deadheaded plants and pulled weeds to prepare for spring growth, another group spread mulch around raised beds, and a third group separated donated pots for future use.

It was a wonderful experience and we are grateful to have been a part of their day!

Congratulations to CCA junior, Bunny, for earning a gold medal on their creative writing entry to this year's Scholastic Art & Writing competition! A gold medal is a national award; the ""highest honor in the longest-running, most prestigious creative competition for US and Canadian teens."" Only two Northern Kentucky students recieved a gold medal, and Bunny was the only student in Covington, KY - WOW!

For the 2025-26 school year there were over 310,000 student entries. Less than one half percent (0.5%) of entries recieved a gold medal this year.

Congratulations, Bunny!
