Pitcher Junior High is proud to announce John Young as our Student of the Year for the 2026-2027 school year. John consistently demonstrates excellence both inside and outside the classroom. He maintains a perfect 4.0 GPA and achieved Advanced scores across all subjects on the LEAP test. Despite his rigorous academic schedule, John is deeply involved in school life as a member of the football team, Lighthouse Team, band, honor band, talented music, and Campus Beautification.

Beyond his school activities, John is a highly accomplished competitive Rubik's Cube solver. He recently placed on the podium in several events at the state cubing competition, including the 4x4, 5x5, and 7x7 categories; he took 1st in the state for 6x6 with an impressive time under 2.5 minutes! He also shares a passion for animals, dedicating his time to volunteering with Once Upon a Tail.

William Pitcher is incredibly proud of all our outstanding finalists. The selection process was exceptionally challenging, as every candidate demonstrated remarkable achievement, leadership, and school spirit.

Congratulations to John and all our finalists. You make us Pitcher Proud!

5:30 PM | Dance Committee Meeting – Plan the Sadie Hawkins dance in November.

6:00 PM | Pitcher v. Lee Road Game – Head to the field to support the football team and socialize. Reminder that tickets are a $6.00 purchase via GoFan, and there is a clear bag policy
