NEW PODCAST ALERT

⚾️ Is JUCO baseball more important than ever?

Delgado Baseball Head Coach & Athletic Director Joe Scheuermann joins Dan Canevari for a great conversation about how the college baseball recruiting landscape is changing — from NIL and the transfer portal to eligibility rules and recruiting strategies.

Joe shares his perspective on the value of junior college baseball, including the opportunity to develop, compete, earn transferable college credits, and prepare for the next level.

The conversation also dives into the history of Delgado Baseball, the Scheuermann family’s connection to the program, Kirsch-Rooney Stadium, facility investments, player development and the growth of baseball across Louisiana.

Plus, they talk LSU, Tulane, Southeastern Louisiana and the lasting impact of Skip Bertman on Louisiana baseball. ⚾️🌟

🎙️ Listen to the full conversation and hear why JUCO baseball could be a bigger part of the recruiting path than ever before.

From being a player who looked up to Coach Bertman, to becoming a coach alongside him, Dan had the incredible gift of learning from one of the very best. Coach Bertman was more than a coach and mentor, he became a friend, a role model, and an example of what leadership truly looks like.
