FREE summer meals for kids!
Newton County is pleased to announce two County facilities will be part of Newton County School Systemβs Free Summer Meals Program.
Nelson Heights Community Center and Denny Dobbs Park will have meals available for children 18 and under Monday through Thursday from June 3 until June 27. Meals will be available inside the Nelson Heights Community Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and under the pavilion at Denny Dobbs from noon to 1 p.m.
These are just two of the locations available this summer. More information on the program and other available locations will be upcoming.

Eastside High Presents, "13 The Musical"
Come see 13 The Musical presented by Eastside Drama on May 9th, 10th & 11th at 7:00PM. Follow the soon to be 13-year-old, Evan Goldman, as he moves from New York City to a small town in Indiana. If Evan can't get the coolest kids to come to his bar mitzvah, how is he going to survive the school year, not to mention the rest of his life? As he navigates the world of cool kids and nerds, jocks and cheerleaders, first kisses and heartbreak, he comes to understand "What It Means to Be a Friend." With a bright catchy pop score from Jason Robert Brown this show is sure to be fun for everyone. Tickets can be purchased on GoFan or at the door.
Rating: PG for thematic elements and mild language.
