Today’s St. Patrick’s Day Fun Run was a huge success! 🍀 The children had such a great time running, cheering, and celebrating together. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and so much excitement throughout the morning.

We truly struck gold with such supportive families, and we are so grateful for your encouragement and participation. Your enthusiasm made the event even more special for the children. We are so grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate our Holidays Around the World with us! It was truly a joyful evening filled with culture, smiles, and unforgettable moments.

Our holiday performances were amazing, and a huge thank you to our incredible Music Teacher, Calia, for guiding our students and helping bring such a beautiful performance to life 👏🎶 The Parent Advisory Committee raffle was a big success! Congratulations to all of our winners! 🎉 and thank you to everyone who participated🎉 Also, a very special thank you to Santa for volunteering his time and spreading so much holiday cheer 🎅❤️

We’d also like to give a huge shoutout to HAPPEntertainment for their exceptional photo booth services! If you share your beautiful moments on social media, please be sure to tag them it's always appreciated 📸✨📸

And last but certainly not least, thank you to our dedicated teachers. Sharing a meal is a powerful way to bring people together, and it was wonderful to gather as a CDC family laughing, connecting, and creating memories just like we would around our own family tables.

We were also honored to welcome a very special guest, Mrs. Paula Jeppson, the very first director of the Covina Development Center. Paula dedicated her career to supporting children with specific needs, and her passion laid the foundation for our center when she established it back in 1997. Having her join us was a beautiful reminder of how far we’ve come and how meaningful our work continues to be.

Thank you again for making this tradition so meaningful for our students, staff, and community. We are truly grateful for each of you.

On behalf of everyone at Covina Development Center, I want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your incredible support and participation in our 5th Annual Trunk or Treat event.

It was truly heartwarming to see everyone come together alongside Assemblywoman Blanca Rubio’s office Assemblywoman Blanca E. Rubio, the Covina Police Department, Covina United Methodist Church, and Foothill Family- Early Head Start Foothill Family to celebrate, connect, and bring joy to our little ones. With over 25 fun and fully decorated trunks, our loving parents helped create lasting memories filled with laughter, excitement, and community spirit.

Thank you for being such an important part of our CDC family and for continuing to make a difference in the lives of our children.

🎃Our little learners had an amazing time exploring our school pumpkin patch! 🍂 They read pumpkin-themed books, counted seeds, used their senses to explore textures and smells, and did some hands-on STEM activities! 🧡✨

It was a day full of hands-on learning, curiosity, and laughter as the children discovered all the fun things pumpkins can teach us! 🎃👻

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to each of you for making our Open House and Art Show such a wonderful success. Your presence and support truly highlight the importance of the work we do here at Covina Development Center. Our teachers work hard all year long, and it was an honor to share this special event with you. 💛

Just like butterflies, our preschoolers are learning, growing, and spreading their wings every day. 🦋🌈

We’re excited to share a little glimpse into our 2025 CDC Training Retreat! Our team had the wonderful opportunity to be trained by Emmanuel Martinez, Program Consultant from Communal Playcentre, who guided us through CLASS assessment (Classroom Assessment Scoring System) strategies as well as the importance of diversity and inclusivity in our classrooms.

To bring fresh ideas and inspiration back to our students, we also traveled to Catalina Island for team building and to spark creativity for our lesson planning. This retreat gave us new tools, strengthened our collaboration as a team, and reminded us of the importance of celebrating every child’s unique strengths.

We are so excited to put what we’ve learned into practice and can’t wait for your children to benefit from the inspiration, skills, and renewed energy our staff has gained.
