The Hale Early Education Center is excited to announce that, beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, preschool hours will be extended to better meet the needs of local families. The preschool After Care Program will now remain open until 5:00 p.m., extending the previous closing time of 4:00 p.m. In addition, based on community interest, the Hale Early Education Center is exploring expanded programming for preschool-aged children during school vacation weeks and professional development days when school is not in session. The Hale Early Education Center is committed to supporting children and families by providing safe, engaging, and flexible learning opportunities that meet the evolving needs of our community. 🚌 A great school day starts with a great bus ride!
On Friday, August 7th, Coventry Grammar School and George Hersey Robertson School hosted a collaborative conversation with our incredible bus drivers to listen, learn, and strengthen our partnership for the year ahead. Together, we shared ideas, discussed what is working and where we can improve, and planned for a positive start to the school year. Thank you to our transportation team for all you do to keep our students safe and supported!

Booth & Dimock Memorial Library and the Coventry Public Market have teamed up to host a summer reading kickoff for Coventry families on June 15th. All ages are welcome to sign up. Drop in to enjoy a free sweet treat & the fun at Creaser Park on Monday!

🎓 Our final Senior Spotlight includes a special congratulations to Megumi Mitchell, Coventry High School’s Valedictorian for the Class of 2026! 🎉

Megumi has earned numerous academic honors, including the Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish, AP Scholar with Distinction, and National Merit Commended Scholar recognition. A leader both in and out of the classroom, she serves as Vice President of Tri-M Music Honor Society, participates in CHS music programs, and gives back through Coventry Lake Community Rowing and Schoolhouse Tutoring.

We are proud of Megumi’s dedication, leadership, and accomplishments, and know she will shine at this weekend’s graduation ceremony.

⛳️🏆 Another Outstanding Season for CHS Boys Golf! 🏆⛳️

The Coventry High School Patriots capped off an exceptional 2026 season with a 2nd-place finish at the CIAC Division III State Championship on June 8th at Ellington Ridge Country Club, earning the state runner-up title among 17 competing schools.

This impressive accomplishment follows the team's historic first-ever CIAC State Championship in 2025, further cementing Coventry's place among Connecticut's top golf programs.

The Patriots finished the season with a 16-4 overall record, a 7-2 NCCC record, and captured the NCCC Conference Championship at Twin Hills Country Club on June 1st.

Congratulations to the players and coaches on their hard work, dedication, and another remarkable chapter in CHS Boys Golf history! 💙⛳
