Red River Parish 4-H is proud to announce that Morgan Moseley and Joseph Shaver have been selected as Louisiana 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassadors! This leadership role recognizes outstanding 4-H members who demonstrate excellence in shooting sports, leadership, citizenship, and service. As State Ambassadors, Morgan and Joseph will help promote Louisiana 4-H Shooting Sports while serving as role models for youth across the state. This past weekend, the two attended the Shooting Sports Ambassadors Summer Board Meeting at Tall Timbers Camp, where they joined fellow ambassadors from across Louisiana to plan upcoming activities, develop leadership skills, and strengthen their commitment to the 4-H Shooting Sports program. We are excited to see Morgan and Joseph represent Red River Parish 4-H at the state level and look forward to the positive impact they will make throughout the coming year.

Red River Parish 4-H member Katelynn Albright had an exciting and rewarding summer, traveling across the region and even the country while showcasing her livestock projects. Throughout the summer, Katelynn competed in several jackpot livestock shows, exhibiting a variety of species including market sheep, market swine, and market goats. Her hard work and dedication paid off with numerous awards. At the Claiborne Classic, she earned Reserve Champion Sheep Showman and exhibited the Third Overall Market Lamb. She also captured Reserve Champion Sheep Showman honors at the Black and Gold Showdown. One of Katelynn's most memorable achievements came when she won her very first American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA) Rosette, earning the title of Reserve Champion Nigerian Dwarf Buck. The accomplishment was made even more special because her mentor was awarded Grand Champion Nigerian Dwarf Buck at the same event.
Beyond competing, Katelynn dedicated time to helping other young people develop livestock skills. She assisted fellow 4-H members by teaching skills such as goat soap making and swine showmanship, demonstrating the 4-H spirit of leadership and service. A highlight of the summer was Katelynn's opportunity to travel with Dunbroke Farms to Springfield, Massachusetts, for the 2026 ADGA National Dairy Goat Show. The journey included a three-day trip through ten states before arriving at the historic Big E fairgrounds. Adding to an already outstanding summer, Katelynn was recently selected to serve as a Northwest Region Ag Ambassador, an honor that recognizes outstanding young leaders who are passionate about agriculture and committed to promoting the industry.
Congratulations to Katelynn on a remarkable summer and best wishes as she continues her livestock and leadership journey.

This summer, Madelyn Chamberlin, a member of Red River Parish 4-H and a junior at Riverdale Academy, proudly represented Red River Parish, Louisiana agriculture, and the Brahman breed at several livestock exhibitions across the South.
Throughout the summer show season, Madelyn competed at the EBBA Extravaganza in Perry, Georgia, the Bluebonnet Kickoff Show and All-American Junior Brahman Show in Bryan, Texas, and the Louisiana Junior Brahman Show in West Monroe, Louisiana. These events brought together some of the nation's top junior Brahman exhibitors and provided opportunities for youth to showcase their livestock projects while developing valuable life and leadership skills. Her hard work and dedication were evident in the show ring, where she earned several impressive honors, including Reserve Champion, 1st Place Showmanship awards, and multiple 1st Place Class awards throughout the summer show season.
In addition to her success as an exhibitor, Madelyn was chosen to serve as the Northwest District Representative for the Louisiana Junior Brahman Association. In this leadership role, she represents junior Brahman exhibitors from northwest Louisiana, promotes youth involvement in the breed, and encourages participation in educational, leadership, and industry events throughout the year.
