This is what growing the sport looks like. šŸ‘šŸ¤¼

We love seeing a local wrestling club step up and offer FREE entry to high school age athletes to come in and train.

Removing barriers and giving young wrestlers more opportunities to get on the mat, sharpen their skills, and surround themselves with others who want to get better is a huge win for our wrestling community.

It takes clubs, coaches, families, schools, and supporters all working together to keep creating opportunities for kids.

More mat time. More opportunities. Stronger wrestlers. A stronger wrestling community.

Huge respect to the leadership at The Best Wrestler for investing in our high school athletes and helping grow the sport! šŸ’Ŗ

SIX YEARS LATER… IT’S TIME TO GIVE BACK. (Even More)

Six years ago, The Best Wrestler started in McClelland, Iowa, with private lessons, a wrestling mat, and a belief that wrestling could be used to develop people.

Today, we have 14 locations and growing around the world. We’ve been blessed to impact more than 1,200 kids annually and work with Olympians, World Champions, Pan-Am Champions, National Champions, State Champions—and, more importantly, thousands of young men and women trying to become better versions of themselves.

We are grateful.

Grateful for every family who trusted us.
Every coach who poured into a kid.
Every athlete who walked through our doors.
Every partner who believed in the mission.
Every person who challenged us and forced us to grow.

And after six years, we’ve been asking ourselves:

How do we give more back?

Especially here at home.

Watching the performances coming out of Nebraska and Southwest Iowa, including what we saw at Fargo, reminded us just how much talent exists in this area.

But talent needs opportunity.

It needs great training partners. Great coaching. Great rooms. We still believe deeply in buying into a system and being consistent. For the athletes who choose to fully buy into our system, we will pour everything we have into them. But for the ones who choose a different path, we still want them to have access to our room, our coaches, and our resources in whatever way can help them grow. And most importantly, it takes people willing to put their egos aside for the kids.

So we are making one of the biggest changes we have ever made.

Effective immediately, our Future Olympian high school program will be FREE.

Any high school wrestler in the country can apply and, if accepted, train completely FREE at our headquarters at Iowa West Field House in Council Bluffs, Mount Michael in Omaha, or Lincoln Northwest in Lincoln.

No contracts.

No required number of practices.

No requirement to represent The Best Wrestler in competition.

You can wrestle for whatever high school, club, coach, or organization you choose.

Come once. Come occasionally. Come every week. Use us as another resource in your journey.

The only requirements are simple:

Apply. Be accepted. Work hard. Respect the room. Respect our coaches, athletes, culture, and system.

That’s it.

And we want to make something else very clear.

This invitation includes everyone.

It includes athletes and coaches from programs we compete against.

It includes programs we’ve had disagreements with.

It includes coaches we may not have always seen eye-to-eye with.

It includes our rivals.

Because at some point, leadership requires you to put the past down and ask a bigger question:

What is best for the kids? What is best for wrestling? What is best for our community?

We don’t need your athletes to wear our singlet.

We don’t need credit.

We don’t need ownership of their success.

If our room, our coaches, our training partners, or the Olympic system we have spent years developing can help another young person reach a goal—we want to help.

And to our current Future Olympian families who have faithfully paid membership dues and supported us:

Your memberships will be paused. Your training is now free, too.

You helped build this.

You believed in us before there were 14 locations. Before the international recognition. Before any of this became what it is today.

Thank you.

This is our six-year anniversary gift to the wrestling community.

Not a marketing campaign.

Not a recruiting war.

A commitment to serve.

Our mission has always been:

To Serve and Develop People, So That We Can Live in a Better World.

Now it’s time for us to live that mission at an even higher level.

Our doors are open.

Bring your singlet. Bring your goals. Bring your work ethic.

Leave the politics and egos at the door.

Let’s make Nebraska, Southwest Iowa, and American wrestling stronger—together.

Six years down.

We’re just getting started.

BE THE BEST.

This past week, we had the opportunity to support Missi Wrestling Club as they competed at the 2026 adidas Wrestling Nationals. Events like this represent more than just matches and medals. They are a test of discipline, commitment, and the ability to perform under pressure against some of the best competition in the country.

A huge congratulations to Missi Wrestling. What you accomplished on that stage is no accident. Bringing home 7 All Americans at a national event is a massive accomplishment and speaks volumes about the strength of your program.

Wrestling teaches lessons that go far beyond the mat. Responsibility. Accountability. Toughness. The ability to keep going when things are hard. That is exactly what these athletes showed.

At Wrestling Foundation Inc, this is why we exist. To remove barriers, create opportunities, and help wrestlers reach stages like this. When we support athletes at events like adidas nationals, we are not just funding a trip. We are investing in growth, confidence, and life changing experiences.

This is what building something bigger looks like.

The future of wrestling is strong, and we are proud to be a part of it.
