My wife and I were both born and raised in Council Bluffs, Iowa. My wife, Aubrey Sorensen (Norville) graduated from Lewis Central, and I followed family tradition and went to Treynor. We both attended the University of Northern Iowa where I received a degree in Secondary Math Education. We then lived in Indianapolis for 4 years while pursuing my Masters degree in Data Analytics. Two years ago we moved our family back to the area, and we are excited for our children to be Titans. We both take great pride in the Lewis Central community and believe that it's a great school for the development of the next generation. Although my undergraduate degree is in Secondary Math Education, I'm now a Software Engineer. My career ended up going a different direction, but I still have a passion for Education. I feel that being involved with the school board is a great way to give back and be a part of something that I have a heart for. I want to ensure the quality of the school system is maintained as I believe strongly in the value of public education. I aspire to have a role in positive change for both the students of today and my own children and their peers in the future. As a Board Member, I ultimately want to be a part of making decisions for the betterment of the Lewis Central School District.

I will bring a unique set of perspectives to the board given my background and current phase of life. My time as a student, degree in education, athletic career, and involvement in the arts allows me to understand and have a vested interest in multiple areas within the school system. My role as a father, with young children who will grow up in the district, adds a personal element making me very invested. I am a charismatic guy who enjoys getting to know others, and I look forward to building relationships within the community and doing life alongside teachers, staff, students, and parents whether it be in my neighborhood or at a Friday night football game.
