A busy day of judging around 70 performers in prose and poetry. After years of waiting with my kids for the All-State list and having been on the list myself a few years back it was an interesting feeling to have the power of nomination.

I am also happy to report that our youth are very passionate about a variety of topics they use performance to express!!

Congrats to the North Stars Show Choir on their first place win on Friday! Craig Casey who was Peter Pan in the show won best performer for the second time this season.

Auditions for next year’s group will be held in April!✨

It’s a great day for Large Group Speech! I was a speech student during high school, and both of our children participated in speech. It is great to be able to give back 🤗

Did you know November 8th is First Generation College Student day? My place of employment recognized those of us who are first generation, we submitted our story and these magnets were placed on our doors. I firmly believe education is empowering.

The Council Bluffs Community School District board took the 'Board' in BoardCon literally!
