End of summer Camelot day! 💣 There’s a unique magic in a mixed-ability group adventure... My favorite part is celebrating and supporting everyone's victories as a group—no matter how small or large. There's just something about lifting each other up, having fun, laughing it off and making memories together in the saddle that just hits right. 💗 A great time had by all!

This weekend we went to the Brookside Back to School Hunter Jumper show! The girls kicked butt, had fun and learned a lot! So did I! I had one kid in the Hunter ring and one kid in the Jumper ring and spent most of my time running back and forth between the two rings in the heat, fun fun! 😂

Elise showed in the hunters and equitation, piloted Gary spectacularly. She was Division Champion in the 2'3" Novice Eq and won ribbons across the board for her efforts in both rings. She has been working really hard on her equitation the last few months and I'm so happy to see her hard work pay off. I am so proud!

Sophia and Marshmallow went into the jumpers brave, fast and bold - as always. They won Division Champion in the .60 meter Jumpers and were in the ribbons for .65 as well! Sophia has also been working hard on her equitation and improving her aids. I was beyond thrilled to see that improvement in action! Way to go Sophia!

Looking forward to working on and improving all the things we learned at this show in the coming weeks! Brookside never fails to put on a well organized show that somehow goes above and beyond to meet the needs of every competitor there. We are so lucky we get to attend these shows! Biggest thanks to my Blue Oak Stables family, I could not do this without you!

This past weekend we did back to back dressage and hunter jumper schooling shows at Camelot Equestrian Park! I could not be prouder of my kids for their hard work, grit and dedication!

Schooling shows are my favorite - we get to learn new things, flex our skills and leave with both a sense of accomplishment and things to improve on when we get home. I really try to instill the importance of the lessons we can learn while showing over the ribbons, but I think that's just me! 😂 Sophia and Mimi were both well rewarded for their efforts in the show ring this weekend. Way to go girls!

Biggest thanks to our Blue Oak and True North family for their support, generosity, guidance and comraderie. We would not be successful without our barn family! Thank you also to Camelot Equestrian Park and Butte Valley Pony Club for putting on a great show! A final thank you to Jennie and Elise for helping show Mimi how much fun cross country could be after her tough ride on Marshmallow on Friday. I could not be more grateful to both of you for stepping up and offering help and support to Mimi when she needed it!

This past weekend we went to Brookside Equestrian Park to compete in their Arena Eventing show! Everyone in our group rode their hearts out and truly knocked it out of the park! I am so proud of all of you!! Way to go!!!!

Big thank you to Brookside Equestrian Park for hosting such a great show, we all had a blast! Thank you Kim for finding the show and for entrusting me with your students on Sunday! Thank you Lupe, Salina and Jennie for making sure we had everything we needed to be successful this weekend, especially with the added second day. All of those little extras made a huge difference in show quality of life, I don't think Sunday would have been so nice and easy if we weren't set up for success because of your efforts. We truly have a fantastic barn family, I am lucky to be a part of it! 💖

This past weekend we went with True North Eventing to a dressage schooling show hosted by Butte Valley Pony Club at Coalcyn Equestrian in Oroville. It was Mimi's first show and she ended up with a second place ribbon for her Intro Test A ride. This kid has the best attitude. She is helpful, conscientious and truly dedicated to the sport. She exceeded my expectations on Sunday and I could not be more proud of the work she has done to get here. Unfortunately I was so excited to watch her ride that I forgot to take a nice photo of her on Marshmallow 😂 The rest of the True North Eventing team did a fantastic job on Sunday, walking away with several first and second place ribbons for their efforts! Well done ladies! Big thank you to Lupe Cramer, Kimberly Amy Smith and the rest of our barn family for your help and support. Thank you Butte Valley Pony Club for hosting a great show. A perfect start to the season!
