Our Healthy Babies = Happy Families Donation & Book Drive is officially underway, and we need our community’s help!

This year, we’re teaming up with the Arizona Diaper Bank during Diaper Need Awareness Week, September 14–20, as part of a statewide effort to collect 1 MILLION DIAPERS! 🎉

Even better — during this special week, donations can go twice as far through matching funds! A donation that would normally provide one bundle of diapers can help provide TWO. 🙌

🥤 Another easy way to help: Stop by Culver’s in Prescott Valley during September 14–20 and round up your purchase to support the effort. Grab a meal or a tasty treat while helping us work toward our local goal of $10,000!

Mountain View Preparatory Book Fair is coming!

Get ready to discover some amazing new books! Our Scholastic Book Fair will be held September 14th through September 18th. Students will have the opportunity to browse and shop for books during their scheduled library time.

Mr. Dragon is already checking out the Book Fair! What book do you think he’s going to get? Drop your guess in the comments!

🏫 COCSD Community Tour | Cottonwood Education Services Campus

Built in the 1950s, with portable buildings added in the 1970s and the gym constructed in the 1980s, the Cottonwood Education Services Campus is showing the effects of decades of use and aging infrastructure.

Facilities Director Matt Dalton recently led community members on a firsthand tour of some of the campus’s most pressing needs:

💧 Water main breaks that have caused school closures
💧 Roof leaks, faulty downspouts and leaking ceilings
💧 Gym flooding, structural settling and significant cracks in the building and floor
💧 Aging swamp coolers
🏃 A track in need of repair
🏟️ A scoreboard that needs replacement
💡 Ball field lighting that no longer works

These aren’t simply cosmetic concerns. They affect school operations, programs, safety and the learning environment for our students.

Seeing is understanding. Thank you to everyone who joined us to see the challenges firsthand, ask questions and learn more about the needs of our schools.

September RAD Days are here at Dr. Daniel Bright School!

Throughout September, we’re making attendance a little more fun with RAD — Random Attendance Days! Each week, one school day will be secretly selected as our RAD Day.

To earn the special RAD Day treat, students must:

Be at school all day
Arrive on time — no tardies
Not be checked out early
The catch? Students won’t know which day is RAD Day! 👀 So show up, be on time, and stay all day—you never know when it might be your lucky day! 🎁

Every day at school is an opportunity to learn, grow, and SOAR! 💙

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ CROSS COUNTRY TODAY
Our Falcon Runners are heading to Clarkdale today for their second meet of the season! The meet begins at 4:00 PM.

📍 Clarkdale School

Race Schedule:
• 5th/6th Girls — 4:00 PM
• 5th/6th Boys — ~4:15 PM
• 7th/8th Girls — ~4:30 PM
• 7th/8th Boys — ~4:50 PM

🚌 Transportation will be provided to the meet. Parents/guardians will need to pick up their child at Clarkdale School following the meet.

🏈 FLAG FOOTBALL
Our Falcons travel to Cottonwood Community School today to take on the Lobos!

⏰ Game Time: 4:00 PM
📍 Cottonwood Community School

🚌 Transportation will be provided to the game. Parents/guardians will need to pick up their child at CCS following the game.

Mountain View Preparatory’s Book Fair will be here next week during Parent-Teacher Conference Week! We are excited to offer our students the opportunity to shop for new books during their regularly scheduled library time.
