What do our VACTE Students do at the National SkillsUSA Conference?

VACTE students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of meaningful and career-focused experiences while attending the National SkillsUSA Conference:

Compete in SkillsUSA national contests, showcasing the technical and leadership skills they have developed throughout the year.

Explore the sights and attractions of Atlanta, gaining cultural and educational experiences outside the conference.

Volunteer in community service projects, including supporting the national Sleep in Heavenly Peace initiative. Our students helped build beds for children in need, making a positive impact on the community.

Attend leadership development events that strengthen communication, teamwork, and professional skills.

Network with business and industry leaders, including employers who partner with Career and Technical Education programs, opening doors to future career opportunities.

Participate in experiences that help prepare them for success in college, careers, and life by building confidence, professionalism, and real-world skills.

The National SkillsUSA Conference provides students with opportunities to compete, serve, lead, connect with industry professionals, and gain experiences that will benefit them throughout their future careers.

Our VACTE Fire Science students visited the Atlanta Georgia Fire Station while competing at the SkillsUSA National Competition! They are chaperoned by their instructor Sal Unale. What an amazing opportunity!

Good luck to our VACTE 2026 Cosmetology graduate Maya Diehl she is running for the prestigious State FFA Officer nomination panel, which includes distinguished past State FFA Presidents, former State Officers, and a select group of outstanding FFA members.

We're bursting with pride for all Maya's achievements thus far! Stay tuned, as we’ll discover her fate with the Arizona FFA State Office team this Saturday. Let’s rally behind her and celebrate this amazing opportunity!
