Striking, grappling and takedowns.
This is what we do.
These are the people we train with.
This is how we make our day better.
See y’all on the mat!

Landing effective kicks against a puncher/boxer. Coach Tre creates a scenario where we can develop the skill of reducing an opponent’s punching ability when we want to kick.
The game has specific goals and parameters. This forces us to attempt movements and connections that deny punching counters to kicking. The game is live so we can see real actions and reactions to the skill we’re tying to develop.
We won’t be good at it in the beginning. That’s literally the way we develop skill. But, over time, we see faster skill emerge due to real or live looks at our partner’s attempts to counter our kicks with punches.

One way to focus on skill development is to remove other options. Working in a live environment helps athletes see the conditions that allow them to use a particular type of movement.

Focus on the hand fight from every position. From the back, hand fighting either allows or denies rotation. Rotation is the primary focus of most escapes.

Warming up with intention. Live work with control creates realistic looks that we can use to develop timing, distance management and the perception to achieve a particular goal.
