We shared our Vex robotics team the other today and now we are sharing our BEST robotics team. Vex and BEST are both robotics but they attend different competitions and require different skills. For BEST, they are constructing their robot from wood and other parts that they must cut, bend, manipulate, etc, in order to build the best robot to complete certain tasks to earn points on the playing field.

Yesterday was pink day at DEMS. We wore pink, had a pink pep rally with cheers, music, and lots of games, and we more importantly raised money for the DCH breast cancer fund.

Our Vex robotics team learning how to setup the playing field, build a robot, and how to code them. So many great things going on at Davis-Emerson.

Our 6th grade students used a model seismograph in science to test 3 different variables (direction, distance, and force) to simulate an earthquake.

Mrs. Parrish's Science class has been working in the 6th grade Science Lab, testing Seismic Waves. They started by using a Slinky to simulate P-waves and S-waves of an earthquake.
