We are back for another year of the Edge of Excellence Award.

I am pleased to announce that the 2026 August CHS Edge of Excellence award goes to Amber Berg.

Mrs. Berg packs a full Dyslexia schedule, heads junior high lunch duty, and jumps in to cover a class without hesitation when needed. She is the definition of a team player and puts in full effort with everything she does. She also rushes down to the youth center after school to continue pouring into students, even after school hours.

Thanks for being an integral part of the high school, Mrs. Berg!

Introducing the Golden Stand!
Today, we awarded our very first Golden Stand in our Cotter Warrior Band to Delaney Evans!
The Golden Stand will be awarded to students who go above and beyond for our team - whether through outstanding performance, hard work, improvement, leadership, or simply being an incredible teammate.
Delaney is an outstanding player, but she earned the very first Golden Stand today for something just as important: for showing what it means to believe in your team and the work we’re putting in together.
We are growing. We are learning. And we’re going to keep showing up, working hard, supporting one another, and getting better every single day.

One of the best things about being back at school is hearing the band outside practicing.
There's just something about hearing the music, seeing students working hard, and knowing that fall is right around the corner.

Jaxon Biggerstaff, Jaycie Burroughs, Cooper Garris, Natalie Harris, Zoey Hodges, Kenna Jensen, Kylee Marion, Paige Meis, Jazlyn Morgan, Izzy Photides, and Avery Rice.
We are thankful for the partnership between our school and Baxter Health that allows our students interested in health care professions this hands on opportunity.

CHS Student Council attended the Josten’s Renaissance Student Leadership Collaborative at Harrison High School this past week. This event helped CHS Student Council get excited for the 2026 school year! Students heard from Dr. Phil Campbell (PC) and were inspired with ideas for making a positive impact on our school’s culture and climate. A big shout out to Harrison Parks and Rec for opening their Youth Center for us to eat lunch and finalize our four action items.
