A message for our community,

We are heartbroken to share some devastating news with our MTME community. Aja Gianola and Daniel Norris lost their youngest child, Joyce, this morning.

There really aren’t words for a loss like this. Aja and Dan are not only dear members of our community, they are the people who founded MTME 20 years ago and have poured so much of their lives, creativity, love, and music into this community ever since.

They continue to teach with us today, and many of you have known them, learned from them, worked alongside them, or watched their children grow up as part of MTME.

I know many of you will be deeply affected by this news. Joyce was a loving, creative, beautiful soul, and I hope we can surround Aja, Dan, Eden, and their family with love now.

Rehearsals aren’t just about learning dances and blocking!

We take time to teach our students about the theatrical process and what it means to be a performer. What does it mean to be an actor? How do you take notes? How should you mark up your script? What does it mean to be part of a production team?

These are skills that go beyond the stage—and we love helping our students build confidence, independence, and a deeper understanding of the craft along the way.

What a beautiful evening celebrating music! 🎶

Cris recently hosted a private recital for her studio students, bringing together musicians of all ages, instruments, and experience levels. Watching each student share their hard work and growth was a wonderful reminder that music is about so much more than perfect notes. It's about confidence, creativity, connection, and self-expression.
