The Department of Music seeks to facilitate an environment of musical creativity, expressive performance, and contextualized music education with a Christ-centered and Spirit-empowered perspective and worldview. The Department of Music offers programs in General Music, Worship Leadership, Pre-Teacher Certification (Music Education), a Music Minor, as well as a plethora of performance ensembles.

As this semester comes to a close, we want to take a moment to honor our beloved Professor of Music Theory, Dr. Robert Reno, who is retiring after 22 years of faithful teaching, leadership, spiritual mentorship, and music-making.

In this video, Dr. Reno reflects on his journey to becoming a music professor and shares a little of the story behind his years in music and education. We are deeply grateful for the lasting impact he has had on our students, department, and community.
