Your child’s greatest period of brain development is happening right NOW. Early experiences shape brain development!! And the neural connections that are used are the ones that are strengthened.

A good music class packs a LOT of valuable experiences into 45 minutes.

Music naturally gives babies and young children opportunities to listen, move, communicate, explore, coordinate their bodies and interact with other people.

You don’t have to overthink this.

You don’t need a list of developmental activities to do at home or another thing to research. You don’t have to figure out which experiences your baby “should” be having right now.

That part is done for you.

Come to class. Sing, move, play, cuddle your baby, chase your toddler around when necessary;) and enjoy being together.

The research has been done for you, and every activity has been thoughtfully planned with your child’s development in mind.

“Shakers away đŸŽ¶đŸŽ¶â€ Same tune! And the same routine.

Putting our instruments and props away is actually a HUGE part of each class. Multiple times!

Even our babies as young as 5–6 months learn to drop their instruments in the basket when it’s time. And you should see the helpers that emerge when it’s time to put our story blanket away! Everyone gets a little piece of it;)

They’re learning to respond to aural cues and recognize familiar routines. They’re practicing cooperation and responsibility, and they’re building confidence as they realize, “I know what to do. I can do this myself!”

Sometimes it takes a little coaxing 😉 And it’s especially cute when a baby decides to just turn the other way with their shaker to avoid putting it away. Who can blame them? 😂

Through each age and stage, with maybe an occasional tear followed by lots of hugs and support, the consistency of the classroom routines and families practicing them at home helps these little skills become part of everyday life.

And Kindermusik families tell me this absolutely works at home!

We LOVE them!

Level 1 is made for busy little ‘ones’ who are ready to move, explore, climb, wiggle, repeat everything 47 times, and soak up an incredible amount of new information along the way.

We have a class just for 1-2 yr olds and we are looking for you!

Seems simple enough
right?

Clapping, rocking, tapping
believe it or not, these simple music skills are training your child’s brain!

Over time, internalizing that beat is setting up our kids for crawling, walking, jumping, kicking balls and so so much more.

Coordinating those movements so they become second nature, frees up their mind and body to add more complex movements and the thinking to go along with it.
