Coming home tired and happy

That’s the kind of summer we’re creating at Playdate. ☀️

We believe childhood isn’t something to rush through. It’s meant to be climbed, explored, collected in pockets, and soaked up under the sunshine.

So while the world hurries children to grow up, we’re busy building forts, chasing butterflies, and making room for wonder.

☀️ Summer is officially in session

Call me crazy, but I don’t think childhood was meant to happen under fluorescent lights.

I think it was meant to look like bare feet, collecting eggs from the chicken coop, watering gardens, tiny picnic lunches with friends, and running barefoot through the backyard with your first best friends☀️

I created Playdate for my own children first.
I wanted them to have a childhood that felt slow, magical, connected to nature, and full of the kinds of memories that stay with you forever.

Turns out… a lot of other families were craving that too 🤍

We have the sweetest news to share…

After so much intention and behind-the-scenes work, we have officially secured our new Playdate location and will be opening for the 2026–2027 school year ✨

This new space will be located in Mesa Del Mar, just minutes from OCC and the Fairgrounds, such a special little pocket of Costa Mesa.

We feel so lucky to be partnering with our incredible host mom, Audrey. She has the sweetest 2.5-year-old son, Ledger, and their home already carries that calm, magical energy that feels so aligned with Playdate 🤍

Over the next couple of months, we’ll be thoughtfully transforming her backyard into a fully built-out Playdate space, designed to mirror the beauty and intention of our original location.

We’ll be hosting an Open House in late July / early August, and we cannot wait for you to see it come to life.

Now for the important part 💛

Because of the amount of interest and our intentionally small group size, this location will fill quickly.
We have a limited number of spots available (12 total), and enrollment is already underway. We expect this location to fill quickly.

We are offering Monday - Friday schedules
9:00am - 1:00pm
2 days : Tuesday + Thursday
3 days : Monday, Wednesday + Friday
5 days : Monday - Friday

We already have an extensive waitlist, and spots are filling quickly.
