Playing with portraiture over the break. Having fun with colors. I have a few more I would like to do before I head back to work, and a couple of these are reworks of previous paintings.

Oh, beautiful, for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain, for purple mountains majesty…This week we are celebrating America and our art and culture. The kids painted beautiful impressionistic flags.

Our third week of Art Camp is Dutch artists. Today we made tiles in the style of Delft artists, started Vermeer’s Girl With a Pearl Earring, and a Mondrian modern art piece.
