The School of Photography at Orange Coast College is widely considered one of the finest photography and digital imaging programs in the United States.

The Isidore C. & Penny W. Myers Foundation will be offering need-based grants to our OCC students. Here are the details and a link to the grant application:

In partnership with the Orange Coast College Foundation and the Isidore C. & Penny W. Myers Foundation we will be distributing 10-12 grants between $350 and $500. Grants can be submitted starting on February 15th, and must be received by February 26th.

The grants, funded by the Isidore C. & Penny W. Myers Foundation, are to help students, who are facing adverse impacts of COVID-19 that affect their ability to stay enrolled and complete their OCC education and their goal of advancing into the field of Photography. Anyone taking a photo class is invited to apply but preference will be given to photography majors.

As is our last 4+ year tradition, my intrepid Professional Digital Techniques Class (Photo 280), had the pleasure of photographing The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s OC Great Strides Event. They shared in the inspiration & contributed their hard work and imaging skills to this fantastic organization and their dedicated participants!
I’m so proud of our OCC Photo Family!! Congrats everyone! From one proud Professor!!🌟🌟🌟

The submission site for the 2019 Student Exhibition is now open go to:

$2 per image, 3 image minimum. 10 images at a time. Enter many times as you want. It's unlimited!
Open to all photo students in the OCC Photo Program 2018-2019

Helpful Submission Tip: You never know what the judges are looking for. Submit you best and 2nd best images. The selection committee many times looks to show off a well rounded photo program, so your 2nd best work might get selected for those other reasons.

If you don't hang you can't win awards. Good Luck!
