π¨β¨ A little art. A little mystery. A lot of gremlins.
Painted in 1943 by Hollywood art director John E. Otterson for the Santa Ana Army Air Base, these remarkable Gremlin Murals brought to life the mischievous creatures pilots and mechanics jokingly blamed for equipment troubles during World War II.
Now preserved at Orange Coast College, the murals are more than a piece of local history. They remind us that every learning experience comes with experimentation, unexpected challenges, and the curiosity to keep going. Sometimes, when things don't go as planned, it's easy to blame the gremlins.
