OCAD is, like its ancient Greek counterpart, a 10-event contest. Unlike the Greek decathlon, however, OCAD is an academic, rather than an athletic, competition and a team competition as well as one for individuals. Participants demonstrate their academic strength by completing seven written tests, writing an essay, delivering a prepared and an impromptu speech, and participating in an interview. T

Calling all OCAD volunteers! The Speech and Interview Competition will take place Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Tustin High School. Objective Testing and the Super Quiz will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Westminster High School. Volunteers are needed for both dates. Registration is now open (visit our website to sign up). We appreciate your help in spreading the word with your friends, colleagues, and AcaDec alumni! Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and a high school graduate.
