"Come musicians, play!" The CMHS Marching Band is composed of students from many grade levels, from 8th-12th grade. Our drumline prepares a show for competition.
Every fall, the marching band prepares a show for competitions and football games. After the fall (marching season) the band transforms into the concert band for the rest of the year. The concert band does 3 concerts: Sounds of the Seasons, Bravo, and Pop Showcase. Earlier today, our marching band and colorguard performed at the 77th Annual Costa Mesa Fish Fry. The band sounded great and received many compliments from community/audience members. Today, also, marked the first day of our fireworks booths! If you are looking for fireworks this year, be sure to come by one, or both, of our booths to support our Band and Colorguard! We have two booths this year, and hope to see many of you there.

ATTENTION! The CMHS Marching Band are selling tickets to the Angel’s Game on Sunday, June 30th at 1:00pm, as a fundraiser for the upcoming year. We have 250 tickets available for purchase, and is first come, first serve. Seats are located at the top deck between home and first plate. Tickets are being sold for $10 each! Calling all Parents, Guardians, Alumni, and Community!! The CMHS Band and Color Guard will be running TWO fireworks booths this summer, and we NEED your help! For a number of years, we have had the opportunity to run 2 fireworks booths to help fundraise for our Instrumental Music Program. Our TNT booth will be located on Adams and Harbor, next to the NEW Mendocino Farms. Our Phantom booth will be located in the UFC Gym parking lot on Harbor. This is our LARGEST fundraiser that sets us up to have an amazing school year. We are asking any and all former, and current, CMMS/HS Instrumental Music members to help volunteer this summer. Final two shows of Mesa's "The Drowsy Chaperone" are today, Saturday, March 30th at 1pm and 6pm. The 1pm show has bargain matinee pricing of only $5. Tickets are available at-the-door. Our pit orchestra led by the fabulous Mr. B conducting his first Mesa musical sounds amazing. Come out of the dreary rain and into a world of vibrant fun with this colorful show. It is terrific!

Band & Color Guard families and alums! Tickets are now on sale for Costa Mesa High School's spring musical "The Drowsy Chaperone". Come on out to see this hilarious show and to support Mr. B's first time "in the pit"! [P.S. the pit sounds FABULOUS!] This show is a "love letter" to musical theatre and has it all: laugh out loud comedy, big production numbers, a live pit orchestra, fabulous costumes, and an airplane! Yes, an airplane! Don't miss it! Four shows only at the beautiful Costa Mesa High School Performing Arts center: Thursday, March 28 , Friday, March 29 , Saturday, March 30 1pm and 6pm. Mesa Band & Color Guard families and alumni, Jazz Cabaret is this upcoming week and will be Mr. Lindfors' last. He is retiring at the end of this academic year. These shows will be extra special. Four shows to chose from: Wednesday, March 13th 6pm and 8pm, and Thursday, March 14th 6pm and 8pm. If you are able to come, please comment below and I'll get you the ticket information.
